Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern British Day Auction, which included the work Four Figures Waiting by Barbara Hepworth. The price achieved of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 439,128.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barbara Hepworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Family of Man: Ancestor II in November this year with an auction result of USD 11,565,000.00 (€ 10,602,310.23).
