Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2001 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work Procris and Cephalus by Daniel Vertangen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,518.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Daniel Vertangen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2000 the work The Judgement of Paris was auctioned for USD 12,925.00 (€ 13,856.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Procris and Cephalus von Daniel Vertangen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.518,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Daniel Vertangen konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2000 die Arbeit The Judgement of Paris für USD 12.925,00 (€ 13.856,13) versteigert.
