Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Don Filo by David Alfaro Siqueiros was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in February last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 45,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,547.40). Admittedly, works by David Alfaro Siqueiros have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 425,000.00 (€ 385,697.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Don Filo von David Alfaro Siqueiros wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 45.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.547,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Alfaro Siqueiros auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 425.000,00 (€ 385.697,43).
