This artwork by David Brown Milne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Prospect Shaft sold for CAD 57,000.00 (€ 40,926.13) - well above the upper estimate of CAD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Brown Milne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Trillums And Trilliums in May 2011 with an auction result of CAD 278,500.00 (€ 199,963.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Brown Milne erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in Toronto einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wurde die Arbeit Prospect Shaft für CAD 57.000,00 (€ 40.926,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CAD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Brown Milne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Trillums And Trilliums im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 278.500,00 (€ 199.963,62).
