In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Whitsun Bride by David Vinckboons. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 133,250.00 (€ 169,724.69), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Vinckboons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegant company in an ornamental garden, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 300,000.00 (€ 445,569.25).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen

Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Whitsun Bride von David Vinckboons zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 169.724,69) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von David Vinckboons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elegant company in an ornamental garden beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 300.000,00 (€ 445.569,25) versteigert wurde.
