Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,576.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Diana Armfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses From the Front Wall, Llwynhir, which sold at auction in July 2019 for GBP 3,562.00 (€ 3,910.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Andalucia, Spain von Diana Armfield wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.576,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Diana Armfield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses From the Front Wall, Llwynhir beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für GBP 3.562,00 (€ 3.910,84) versteigert wurde.
