In April 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs By Diane Arbus From The Collection Of Bruce And Nancy Berman, which included the work A Castle In Disneyland, Cal. 1962 by Diane Arbus. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,200.00 (€ 20,683.45), 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diane Arbus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A box of ten photographs in May this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 946,123.52).

Im April 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs By Diane Arbus From The Collection Of Bruce And Nancy Berman durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Castle In Disneyland, Cal. 1962 von Diane Arbus zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.200,00 (€ 20.683,45) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diane Arbus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A box of ten photographs im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 946.123,52).
