The work Zhong Kui Marrying Off His Sister by Ding Yanyong was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 125,000.00 (€ 10,290.81), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ding Yanyong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crane In The Wait For Flight in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 9,040,000.00 (€ 884,914.95).

Die Arbeit Zhong Kui Marrying Off His Sister von Ding Yanyong wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 10.290,81) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ding Yanyong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crane In The Wait For Flight im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.040.000,00 (€ 884.914,95).
