Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Brown Family by Eastman Johnson was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,109.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eastman Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Little Soldier in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 856,000.00 (€ 693,173.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Brown Family von Eastman Johnson wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.109,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eastman Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Little Soldier im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.000,00 (€ 693.173,54).
