Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Quai Du Louvre Sous La Neige by Édouard Cortès was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,974.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Édouard Cortès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 73,000.00.

Die Arbeit Quai Du Louvre Sous La Neige von Édouard Cortès kam im April 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.974,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Édouard Cortès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 73.000,00.
