Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Port St. Denis, Paris by Édouard Cortès. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,538.79). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Édouard Cortès - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris, which sold at auction in November 2012 for EUR 73,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Port St. Denis, Paris von Édouard Cortès zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.538,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Édouard Cortès mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boulevard in Montmartre, Paris beobachtet, die im November 2012 für EUR 73.000,00 versteigert wurde.
