This artwork by Édouard Manet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October last year. In the The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 1 | Important Pictures and Decorative Arts, Evening Sale auction, the work Tête Du Chien "Bob" sold for USD 1,380,000.00 (€ 1,389,168.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard Manet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Grand Canal à Venise in November last year with an auction result of USD 51,915,000.00 (€ 50,290,613.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Édouard Manet erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 1 | Important Pictures and Decorative Arts, Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Tête Du Chien "Bob" für USD 1.380.000,00 (€ 1.389.168,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Édouard Manet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Grand Canal à Venise im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.915.000,00 (€ 50.290.613,19).
