Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Canards sauvages, mâle et femelle - Wild ducks, male and female. by Edouard Traviès was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2000. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,793.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edouard Traviès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Studies of birds: Livingstone's tauraco, Red-winged crested cuckoo, and Common cuckoo; Royal flycatcher and Scarlet-spectacled wattle-eye; Common redstart, Nightingale, and Black redstart; Helmeted guinea fowl, Little bustard, and Great bustard; Red-bille in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.793,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden.
