Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Mouse Hunters by Edward Armfield was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,069.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Armfield have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Terriers Ratting; And Terriers With A Fox And Pheasant in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,224.67).
