In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art auction, the work Thames barges racing off Harwich sold for GBP 36,250.00 (€ 42,481.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edward Seago have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Household Cavalry in the Mall in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 196,213.48).
