This artwork by Edward Seago achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2020. In the Out of Office: Art that Transports auction, the work The Black Poplar sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,766.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Seago achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Household Cavalry in the Mall in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 196,213.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward Seago erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Out of Office: Art that Transports wurde die Arbeit The Black Poplar für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.766,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Seago erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Household Cavalry in the Mall im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 196.213,48).
