Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The White Clown by Edward Seago. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,295.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward Seago achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Household Cavalry in the Mall in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 196,213.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The White Clown von Edward Seago zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.295,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edward Seago erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Household Cavalry in the Mall im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 196.213,48).
