Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A Terrier with a rat in a stable by Edwin Loder of Bath. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,012.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Edwin Loder of Bath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A chestnut hunter; and A brown hunter in a stable in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,407.50 (€ 5,270.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Terrier with a rat in a stable von Edwin Loder of Bath zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 646,25 (€ 1.012,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edwin Loder of Bath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A chestnut hunter; and A brown hunter in a stable im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.407,50 (€ 5.270,63).
