Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Along the Ghats, Mathura by Edwin Lord Weeks was sold in the Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in June 2010. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,362.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Lord Weeks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the courtyard in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 541,250.00 (€ 687,664.22).

Die Arbeit Along the Ghats, Mathura von Edwin Lord Weeks wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.362,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden.
