Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work A Pair Of Costume Designs For Venise Au Xviii Siècle At The Folies Bergère, 1919 by Erté for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,301.71). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Erté have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maquette de costumes et décors in April last year with an auction result of EUR 37,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Pair Of Costume Designs For Venise Au Xviii Siècle At The Folies Bergère, 1919 von Erté für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.301,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erté auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maquette de costumes et décors im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.800,00.
