This artwork by Eugène Cuvelier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2007. In the An Important Collection of Photographs by Eugène and Adalbert Cuvelier auction, the work 'Le Clovis' sold for USD 120,000.00 (€ 87,847.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eugène Cuvelier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Village De Rivière', which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 288,000.00 (€ 210,834.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Eugène Cuvelier erzielte im April 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An Important Collection of Photographs by Eugène and Adalbert Cuvelier wurde die Arbeit 'Le Clovis' für USD 120.000,00 (€ 87.847,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eugène Cuvelier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Village De Rivière' beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 288.000,00 (€ 210.834,55) versteigert wurde.
