Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction European Fine Living, which included the work L'Arc de Triomphe by Eugène Galien-Laloue. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,128.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Galien-Laloue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 99,561.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion European Fine Living durch, in der auch die Arbeit L'Arc de Triomphe von Eugène Galien-Laloue zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.128,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Galien-Laloue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 89.625,00 (€ 99.561,21).
