Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Asian Art, which included the work Flower and Butterfly by Fang Chuxiong. The price achieved of AUD 3,690.00 (€ 3,501.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fang Chuxiong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cat in April this year with an auction result of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 42,890.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower and Butterfly von Fang Chuxiong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.690,00 (€ 3.501,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fang Chuxiong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cat im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 42.890,22).
