Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Joy of the Morning by Fang Zhaoling. The price achieved of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 55,594.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Zhaoling - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Boating, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 171,131.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joy of the Morning von Fang Zhaoling zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 55.594,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Zhaoling mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Boating beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 171.131,94) versteigert wurde.
