Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Iranian and Arab Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition, 1970 by Faramarz Pilaram. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,751.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Faramarz Pilaram achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 385,000.00 (€ 247,302.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Iranian and Arab Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition, 1970 von Faramarz Pilaram zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.751,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Faramarz Pilaram erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 385.000,00 (€ 247.302,16).
