Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting, which included the work French Vue De Constantinople by Félix Ziem. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 27,204.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Félix Ziem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bateau pavoisé lors de la fête de l’Assomption in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 191,000.00 (€ 213,126.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings including The Orientalist Sale, Symbolism and the Poetic Vision and Spanish Painting durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Vue De Constantinople von Félix Ziem zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 27.204,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Félix Ziem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bateau pavoisé lors de la fête de l’Assomption im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 191.000,00 (€ 213.126,67).
