Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still Life by Fernando Botero was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 45,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,400.00 (€ 46,357.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still Life von Fernando Botero wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 45.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.400,00 (€ 46.357,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
