Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Vase with Flowers by Fernando Botero. It changed hands for a price of USD 277,200.00 (€ 254,966.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vase with Flowers von Fernando Botero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 254.966,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
