In April 2000 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Drawings at CSK, which included the work A cavalry skirmish by Francesco Allegrini. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,425.42), 72% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Allegrini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Christ In Glory With Angels And A Saint Kneeling In Adoration, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,264.87).
