Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Iona, Looking Towards Mull And Ben More by Francis Cadell. The price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 9,846.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Cadell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reflection in June last year with an auction result of GBP 942,500.00 (€ 1,094,916.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iona, Looking Towards Mull And Ben More von Francis Cadell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 9.846,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Cadell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reflection im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 942.500,00 (€ 1.094.916,90).
