Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures, which included the work Elegante Devant La Bijouterie by Henry Somm. The price achieved of EUR 4,089.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Somm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elégantes au chapeau, which sold at auction in January 2006 for EUR 8,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elegante Devant La Bijouterie von Henry Somm zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.089,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Somm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elégantes au chapeau beobachtet, die im Januar 2006 für EUR 8.400,00 versteigert wurde.
