Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Travel and Vintage Posters, which included the work East Coast Landmarks, Lowestoft by Frank Henry Mason. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 896.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Henry Mason have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A British squadron anchored in the Bosphorous at Constantinople in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,230.00 (€ 7,091.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Travel and Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit East Coast Landmarks, Lowestoft von Frank Henry Mason zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 896,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Henry Mason auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A British squadron anchored in the Bosphorous at Constantinople im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.230,00 (€ 7.091,69).
