Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scholar Strolling by Fu Baoshi was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 305,772.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fu Baoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauty in April this year with an auction result of HKD 16,764,000.00 (€ 17,119,323.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scholar Strolling von Fu Baoshi wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.500.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.750.000,00 (€ 305.772,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fu Baoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauty im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.764.000,00 (€ 17.119.323,91).
