Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Longevity by Gai Qi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,100.00 (€ 12,760.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gai Qi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work literati elegant gathering in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 133,149.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Longevity von Gai Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.100,00 (€ 12.760,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gai Qi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit literati elegant gathering im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 133.149,67).
