Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Five-Character Couplet In Cursive Script by Gao Jianfu was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 118,000.00 (€ 12,987.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Jianfu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moon Night in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 507,236.84).

Die Arbeit Five-Character Couplet In Cursive Script von Gao Jianfu wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.000,00 (€ 12.987,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Jianfu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moon Night im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 507.236,84).
