Auction result misses estimated price range

In January 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, from Women Are Beautiful, 1967 by Garry Winogrand for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,011.59). This price was achieved in the auction MoMA: Garry Winogrand at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Garry Winogrand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Are Beautiful in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 116,500.00 (€ 91,862.48).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Januar 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, from Women Are Beautiful, 1967 von Garry Winogrand für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.011,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MoMA: Garry Winogrand bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Garry Winogrand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women Are Beautiful im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 116.500,00 (€ 91.862,48).
