Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work The Port of Honfleur by Gaston Roullet. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,652.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaston Roullet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vue de Tourane au Vietnam in December last year with an auction result of EUR 16,575.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Port of Honfleur von Gaston Roullet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,50 (€ 2.652,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaston Roullet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vue de Tourane au Vietnam im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.575,00.
