Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale, which included the work A Tale of Two Cities by Gazbia Sirry. The price achieved of GBP 3,812.50 (€ 4,505.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gazbia Sirry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egyptian the Garden in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,640.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Tale of Two Cities von Gazbia Sirry zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.812,50 (€ 4.505,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gazbia Sirry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Egyptian the Garden im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.640,90).
