Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Haworthia retusa by Georg Dionysius Ehret was sold in the NATURAL HISTORY auction at Christies in London in June 2001. The price achieved of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Georg Dionysius Ehret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gloriosa superba (Glory Lily) in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 30,550.00 (€ 50,749.63).
