Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sam, a racehourse with jockey up by George Henry Laporte was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2004. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,541.00 (€ 6,758.37). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Henry Laporte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British Noblemen Before Constantinople in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 68,469.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sam, a racehourse with jockey up von George Henry Laporte kam im Juni 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.541,00 (€ 6.758,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Henry Laporte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British Noblemen Before Constantinople im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 68.469,27).
