Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bathing Fashion, Paris (Miss E. Carise) by George Hoyningen-Huene was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in June 2020. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,564.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Hoyningen-Huene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fashion studies, 1939-1942, which sold at auction in February 2009 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,718.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bathing Fashion, Paris (Miss E. Carise) von George Hoyningen-Huene kam im Juni 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.564,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von George Hoyningen-Huene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fashion studies, 1939-1942 beobachtet, die im Februar 2009 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.718,53) versteigert wurde.
