Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,582.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georges Stein - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Opera, Paris; and Westminster Bridge, London, which sold at auction in September 2007 for GBP 19,700.00 (€ 28,248.35).
