Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Couple imaginaire by Georges Terzian was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 447.95). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Terzian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Johny Guitar in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,875.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Couple imaginaire von Georges Terzian im April 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 500,00 (€ 447,95) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Terzian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Johny Guitar im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.875,30).
