This artwork by Georgia O'Keeffe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2015. In the American Art auction, the work Drawing I sold for USD 197,000.00 (€ 186,517.70) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georgia O'Keeffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 44,405,000.00 (€ 35,701,077.34).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Georgia O'Keeffe erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Drawing I für USD 197.000,00 (€ 186.517,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georgia O'Keeffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jimson Weed/White Flower No. 1 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.405.000,00 (€ 35.701.077,34).
