Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A ewer and a small vessel by Germain-Théodore Ribot was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 671.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Germain-Théodore Ribot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Flowers In A Blue Vase in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,635.15).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 671,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
