The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,077,000.00 (€ 3,433,459.50), 23% above the upper estimate. Other works by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 2,837,000.00 (€ 4,021,913.13) in July 2015 for the work The Tiepolo Family.
