Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Discovery Online, which included the work Il Bagnante Solitario, from Mythologie by Giorgio de Chirico. It changed hands for a price of USD 573.75 (€ 570.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giorgio de Chirico achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 15,890,400.00 (€ 13,643,341.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Discovery Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il Bagnante Solitario, from Mythologie von Giorgio de Chirico zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 573,75 (€ 570,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giorgio de Chirico erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Il Pomeriggio Di Arianna (Ariadne’S Afternoon) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.890.400,00 (€ 13.643.341,63).
