Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Madame Roger-Jourdain by Giovanni Boldini was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2019. The price achieved of GBP 1,091,250.00 (€ 1,272,981.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Boldini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian portrait Of Giovinetta Errazuriz, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 6,578,500.00 (€ 5,046,409.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Madame Roger-Jourdain von Giovanni Boldini kam im Februar 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.091.250,00 (€ 1.272.981,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Boldini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Italian portrait Of Giovinetta Errazuriz beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 6.578.500,00 (€ 5.046.409,94) versteigert wurde.
