Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hercules and Antaeus by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,370.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tiepolo Family in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,837,000.00 (€ 4,021,913.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hercules and Antaeus von Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo wurde im Januar 2017 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.370,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
