The price achieved of USD 2,415,000.00 (€ 2,166,113.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Francesco Barbieri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work King David, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,244,298.00).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.415.000,00 (€ 2.166.113,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden.
